Spectrum Energy Systems designs and installs solar panels and battery storage for homes and businesses. We have been installing since 2011 and are based at Pottery Court in Bulwell, Nottingham. Solar panels and battery storage for homes
Each home system is designed around the roof and the electricity the household actually uses. Most customers add a battery so they can use their own solar in the evening, and on a two-rate tariff the battery can charge overnight at the cheaper rate. We supply and fit everything ourselves for one all-inclusive price. An EV charger can be fitted at the same time as the panels.
Commercial solar PV for businesses and farms
We install commercial solar on factories, warehouses, offices, schools, shops and farm buildings, on pitched, flat and metal roofs or as ground-mounted arrays. We survey the site, size the system to your daytime electricity use and manage the DNO grid application (G98 or G99) before we install. Adding battery storage lets the site keep generation it can't use straight away for early mornings, evenings and weekends.

How we work and the areas we cover
We start with a feasibility assessment of your roof, your electricity use and whether the numbers stack up. If they do, we design the system, apply to the network operator for the grid connection, install and commission it, register it with MCS and hand over the paperwork. We only fit kit we supply, so one company stands behind the whole system. We work across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, and in Staffordshire and South Yorkshire, including Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, Derby, Chesterfield, Leicester, Loughborough, Lincoln, Grantham, Stoke-on-Trent and Sheffield. Businesses with several sites can use us nationwide.
