Lampwork beads
Blue Fairy Designs makes lampwork glass beads. These are made by melting rods of glass in a carefully controlled flame, and wrapping the molten glass around a mandrel. From this basic bead, beautiful decoration can be added by using different colours, precious metals and enamels. Beads can be made in various shapes, either shaping by hand or by placing the molten glass into a brass bead press. As I make all the lampwork beads myself, I can work to your specifications to create jewellery to match your requirements, such as colour matching a particular outfit, or a unique gift for a special occassion.
