The African Community Centre was founded by Mrs. Uzo Iwobi in 2003.The proposal for the centre was based on a survey of Africans living across Wales, which revealed that Africans living in the area would welcome a centre where they would be able to meet socially and participate in promoting African culture in the community To facilitate links and communication between our members, other African organisations, ethnic minority groups, the community, the National Assembly, government bodies, the South Wales Police and schools The ACC is committed to breaking down barriers, promoting participation and community cohesion as well as facilitating a better understanding of African culture within our local community
