Local printing.com franchise printing.com @ For Colour Ltd, based in Lincoln, has pledged to assist in the planting of 50,000 trees in schools as part of one of the UK’s largest carbon offset campaigns. printing.com will be selecting schools based on the number of nominations it receives through its website. Parents and teacherswho would like their school to receive free trees should visit www.printing.com/schoolsand completethe short nominationform. printing.com has committed to plant a tree for every eight orders it receives. The company is asking local parents and teachers to nominate their school to become one of the tree planting sites. If chosen, the school will receive free trees from printing.com's planting partners, Tree Appeal. Last year customers in Lincoln helped the companymeet their target of planting of 25,000 trees. They are now aiming to plant 50,000 trees in local schools across the UK. “We want to encourage local schools to make the most of their grounds by planting trees,” says Andy Clayton, General Manager at printing.com @ For Colour. “This helps create woodland habitat, increases bio-diversity and, most importantly, provides an excellent learning resource – planting trees, watching them grow, seeing how wildlife is encouraged and charting the changing seasons and weather.” Professor David Bellamy, who is lending his support to the campaign, believes the project will have long-lasting benefits: “Congratulations to printing.com for extending their pledge to plant 50,000 trees.
