Using a contemporary style, which celebrates the qualities of the medium, I paint primarily in watercolour. This summer, I am focusing on portraits of Winchester, Chichester and Salisbury made on the spot. I am also painting coastal pictures from locations along Southampton Water, looking out across the Solent and on board ship. Landscape, cityscape, seascape, interior, figure and still life paintings are available for sale and make ideal gifts. Some images are available as prints.Based in Botley, Hampshire, UK, I enjoy teaching drawing and painting to adults both individually and in groups. Lessons are structured to cover technical watercolour painting skills, picture composition and creativity. Frequent demonstrations, examples from art history, some finished picture making and many practical exercises are included.
