Coventry Savoy was founded in 1928 by the parishioners of St. Barbara's Church in Earlsdon as 'St. Barbara's Amateur Operatic Society' Coventry Savoy Opera Society are primarily involved with staging Gilbert and Sullivan Savoy Œuvre as our name implies We have an established repertoire of songs from a variety of shows which we perform in concerts whilst not undertaking one of our major shows It has therefore been detemined that the procedes of raffles held at our performances will be donated to local cancer care facilities These concerts contribute funds towards our annual staged production, usually an opera, at venues in Coventry, Southam and elsewhere
