Glan Afan Silver Surfers is an Intergenerational Project based at Glan Afan Comprehensive School in Port Talbot The Glan Afan Silver Surfers Intergenerational project was originally founded in February 2007, after the school secured a grant for an Intergenerational Project We have been recognised on a national scale for our work - ranging from the BT Internet Ranger of the Year awards to The Wave and Swansea Sound's Local Hero Awards, not to mention the Wales Volunteers Week scheme and Millennium Volunteers We also have a number of 'local celebrities' amongst us who have appeared in the South Wales Evening Post and also on several television news bulletins Our sessions take place at Glan Afan Comprehensive School in Port Talbot every Monday from 3.30 until 5pm
