Dr Peter Wilkin has more than 20 years' experience as a registered osteopath and specialist in musculoskeletal medicine. He qualified as an osteopath in 1989, and received a diploma in musculoskeletal medicine in 1994, followed by an MSc in 2000. Peter works in a private practice and in an NHS hospital neurophysiology / rheumatology department as a specialist. He is also part of a team providing NHS hospital based specialist care to GP's patients, referred to for a range of problems affecting the joints, bones, muscles and other soft tissue injuries. His interests include sports medicine and related injuries, and the use of EMG/nerve conduction studies in the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
