Business profile

Massage Therapy for injury rehabilitation and pain management. Interventions for the relief of sport and work related injuries, and conditions including relaxation and stress reduction strategies. Here at Essential Therapy we don't just use essential oils for healing and cosmetic purposes, we include them in our sports and work related injuries. Essential oils can be used in several aspects of overall health and well-being including injury rehabilitation or prevention, stress relief, and emotional balance. Essential oils have a role in preparing the musculo-skeletal system for optimum physical performance as well as post-exertion recovery. At Essential Therapy we recognize aromatherapy treatment is a valuable therapy to enhance sports performance, and recovery from work or sport related injury. Essential oils can even be used to treat serious injuries along with the "RICE method, rest, ice, compression and elevation". They can be used in the compression stage to aid healing. The benefits of the oil are, they will disinfect the wound and, unlike other disinfecting agents, will not be painful. Helichrysum oil for example prevents swelling and inflammation. Helichrysum is also excellent for healing scars. Roman Chamomile has muscle relaxant and antispasmodic properties. Another area essential oils can help with is fatigue. In order to keep on going after a strenuous training or workout session, breath in some revitalizing oils like peppermint, lemon, or pine. They can be inhaled directly or used in a bath or shower.
