Use your mortice lock !
All too often I am called out after a break-in where the door has been left locked only on a Yale nightlatch type lock. These locks can be forced or bypassed in seconds. I attended a break-in recently where two young female students had quite literally lost everything. Phones, cameras, laptops and probably the worst bit..... their Univesity Disitations were on their laptops .... with no backup copies.It would have taken seconds to lock the mortice lock and it would probably have prevented this break-in.
