Empty rates reduction is a empty property business rates mitigation company. We reduce business rates legally for landlords who are paying this unfair tax.In April 2008 the law changed, previously with industrial properties landlords would not have to pay any business rates when the property became empty and they only had to pay 50% on non industrial properties such as retail shops and offices.The law is now that after a statutory exemption period, (3 months for non industrial, 6 months for industrial) the landlord has to pay 100% of the rates bill. The law does however include a clause which we use to save the landlord money. If the building is sufficiently occupied for a commercial purpose which is beneficial, exclusive etc. then after a set period the exemption can be 'reset' and a new fresh period of 3 or 6 months claimed from the Billing Authority.We have a strong understanding of legislation and case law in this area so can reduces rates legally and safely.
