Rough Old Wife Cider, Old Wives Lees, Canterbury, uses apples from our own ancient orchard. No spraying or chemical additions are done and we conform to soil association standards. Apple picking, washing, crushing and oak barrelling is all done by hand. The Cidery produces 4 types of Real Kent Cider innovatively boxed for pubs, restaurants, farm shops and individuals or bottled on demand.Formed in 2006 Rough Old Wife has been producing real Kent ciders for 5 years which are usually clear and dry to medium. The Cidery on the farm is licensed and we welcome visitors for tasting and farm gate sales by appointment. We have won several awards for our ciders and produce a unique raspberry cider, Blushing Old Wife which has gained an excellent following.We also run cider making courses which have become very popular and are held at various locations and times throughout the year.
