Brent & Harrow Education Business Service - work experience
A powerful personal development activity for students, a good placement can increase a young person's self-confidence, give them a positive attitude towards the world of work and, most importantly, make them more attractive to potential employers. Work experience comes in different styles and the BHEBS team support employers who assist with: Block style of work experience for five or ten days for students aged 14 to 19. Diploma placements tailored to the specific vocational curriculum Extended placements for students who will be on assignment throughout the year. Work burst programmes of short insights into work. Work shadow placements. Also in this section: "Students get a lot from it: they find it very rewarding and an eye-opener. It teaches students not to stereotype a placement by the company name."
