JAITC was formed in 1998 to represent jewellery manufacturers, silversmiths, pewterers and cutlers, and in particular to serve the education and training needs of the industry Further information can be obtained from: we hope that in due course they will be able to offer these qualifications based on the existing Scottish Vocational Qualifications and the National Occupational Standards for Jewellery and Silversmithing which are published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority in London These qualifications are, however under review and have not been available to new applicants since City and Guilds relinquished their role as our Awarding Body
