I am a professional woodturner trading as Bodrighy Wood specialising in as sustainable as possible crafting.Wood that I use is either harvested myself from hedgerows, fallen trees, old furniture, in fact any where that can be legally used as a source. I do occasionally use exotic woods when specifically requested to do so but ensure that the wood has been properly harvested. I make items as varied as rolling pins to niddy noddys, parts for antique furniture to eggcups as well as the usual bowls and platters. I also specialise in drinking vessels making chalices, wedding goblets and novelty goblets, all liquid proofed on the inside and made from woods that are safe to use. Each item made by Bodrighy wood is individual and unique as the wood will vary and create each piece differently, even though shape and design may be the same. I believe that everyday items used should be things of beauty in themselves and endeavour to use the wood to it's best advantage to achieve this using unusual woods to make familiar objects.
