The reason a professional service is usually required is that only a professional can do the job the right way. Curtain cleaning can definitely be a difficult task as it requires climbing up on chairs and ladders all the time and approaching the curtains from various angles. This isn't a job for the faint hearted, but it requires expertise as well as preparation. Only a few people are up to the task knowing what they are doing.
