A Romantic 16C family owned Self Catering Cottage by the shores of the Mawgan Creek of the Helford River. Standing alone in over two thirds of an acre, with a fantastic unspoilt view, all in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and bordering water on two sides. Its large garden leads to the waterfrontage and jetty where our guests will find a rowing dinghy useful for exploring the many meandering creeks. This well-appointed property sleeps a maximum of 6 persons in 3 bedrooms, has full CH throughout, making it ideal for out of season breaks, and each room has a wonderful view of the Helford River. The surrounding area is very peaceful with no neighbours or owners to spoil your privacy as Rock Cottage is not overlooked. Our rates are fully inclusive of bed linen, luxury bathrobes, towels, electricity, ch oil, all household essentials provided and of course unlimited use of 'Peggy' our 11'6" dinghy (life jackets also). There are no extra charges. The village of Mawgan is a 5 minute walk away. Here you will find The Ship Inn & Old Courthouse Restaurant, a well stocked Spar/PO and 12C Church. There is also an organic farm shop nearby selling delicious pasties and pizzas from the wood burning oven.The busy town of Helston (famous for its Floral Dance in early May), is 10 minutes drive. The Lizard Peninsula offers sandy beaches and coves, wonderful clifftop walks, water sports, national gardens, art galleries, horse riding, fishing, theme parks and caters for every age group. There is always something to see or do and many guests at Rock Cottage enjoy painting the beautiful panoramic view, reading, relaxing in the loungers, barbequing in the garden, rowing, fishing from either the jetty or boat or watching the many birds as they feed on the shore.
