What services does Blastcoat offer?
We specialize in complete surface finishing solutions, primarily abrasive blasting (sandblasting) and powder coating. We offer a full "blast and paint" service where we clean metal down to the bare substrate and immediately coat it to prevent corrosion and ensure a durable finish.
What is the difference between powder coating and wet paint?
Powder coating is generally much more durable than traditional wet paint. It is applied as a dry powder and cured under heat to form a "skin." This creates a finish that is highly resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing, making it ideal for outdoor and industrial use.
Do I need to clean my items before bringing them in?
No, you do not need to pre-clean them. Our process starts with abrasive blasting, which strips away old paint, rust, dirt, and oil. However, if there are heavy grease deposits, letting us know beforehand is helpful.
