Vibratory Stress Relieving is used to stabilise engineering components e.g fabrications, castings etc. in lots of materials. The components are resonated at natural frequencies between 0-220Hz for between 1 & 2K cycles, forcing the stresses to go beyond the yield of the material now, rather than when being machined or in service conditions.
