North West Lifelong Learning Association was constituted in March 2003, with the primary aim of ensuring that people living in the Limavady area had access to a range of ICT training and development opportunities. The group incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee in April 2010, its objects being to:"To advance the education of the inhabitants of the North West of Northern Ireland and other parts of the United Kingdom and Ireland as from time to time determined and to provide training and associated support to those who are unemployed or who need to acquire new skills by associating with the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular to;Promote, develop and co-ordinate the provision of accessible quality training and pre-vocational training for its beneficiaries;Provide wider access to ICT training, including open learning methods thereby improving the ICT competencies and the employability of its beneficiaries;Provide advice, support and training to assist unemployed people gain the necessary skills to access work, including supported work placements with local businesses in the area of benefit;Provide a network of mutual support and encouragement amongst the beneficiaries"
