EAL prepare energy and resources statements and sustainability reports. We undertake consultancy, working closely with architects, developers and builders advising them on energy efficiency, renewable technologies and building regulation compliance. It is advantageous to assess the various options open at the design stage in order to find the most suitable and cost effective routes. EAL work with architects and developers at the design stage to ensure that not only are building regulations complied with but the design incorporates sustainability and client's needs. We have worked on various projects providing advice on suitable technologies for homes, flats, care homes, commercial offices and retail outlets. Energy & Resource, Energy Reports, Sustainability Reports. An energy statement is required by many councils and is a pre-condition on planning permission being granted. The statement shows the CO2 emissions and energy consumption for the design of a project and provides the building's carbon strategy and fabric efficiency. The energy statement will include a sustainability statement which will evaluate the environmental impact of a design and analyse the project's green strategy to reduce carbon footprint as well as any renewables that may be used.
