Contour Geophysics specialises in geophysical surveying which is usually the first step in archaeological fieldwork, and is used to create plans of underground features. Theses plans can then be used as evidence to help reduce or remove the requirement for further archaeological work. If extra work is required, working with our partners, we are able to complete all types of archaeological work from DBAs to Excavations, helping you to fulfill all your archaeological planning conditions. Outside the archaeological sector the survey methods can also be used to find more modern features such as services, areas of burnings and rubbish pits. Along with these services we also offer Topographic Surveys which can serve as a base map for the design of building, roads, driveways etc.
