Today Laxton is the only village in England that practices medieval open field farming which is subsidised by the crown and a short walk in any direction will remind you of its history. Ivy Cottage is a square Georgian house situated in the heart of the village and your accommodation is set in a stylishly newly converted red brick barn which dates back to 19th century, and is separate from the main house providing ample privacy to make it a perfect peaceful place to stay. Food is sourced locally from an award winning butcher, the eggs fresh from the village! Breakfast is served in the main house dining room between 07.00 - 0930. All is served with freshly squeezed orange juice, grapefruit and homemade jams and marmalade.
