A Registered Charity providing emergency support to isolated or vulnerable members of our community in times of crisis or severe weather. Hantsafe volunteers were called upon over a period of several weeks in early 2014 when several residential areas in the region were flooded due to exceptional winter storms. Teams assisted local residents to evacuate and enable those who stayed behind to get food and medical supplies while also providing logistical support to healthcare professionals and other authorities. As our team includes experienced and qualified medical and fire professionals, we can also provide fire and medical support to events and fundraisers with a fully equipped 4x4 vehicle. We also assist charities and community groups with safety cover at fundraisers, races, walks and fetes. All our staff are volunteers and 100% of all money raised goes directly to the purchase and replacement of essential equipment. Our current fundraising initiative is to purchase lifesaving carbon monoxide detectors for vulnerable individuals living in their own homes and to purchase additional medical equipment to improve the life chances of those we serve.
