Laser cutting sheet metal work now at V and F Sheet Metal 2014
V and F Sheet Metal can now offer laser cutting of sheet metal work as an in house service. In October 2013 we installed a brand new Trumpf 3030 3KW fibre laser cutter and have been really pleased with the edge finish we can achieve on stainless steel, mild steel, zintec, aluminium alloys and even copper and brass sheet. The fibre laser is very quick on thin sheets, say up to 3mm thick but can process materials up to 20mm thick. Without the need for any tooling and the ability to cut thin gauges just using compressed air the fibre laser is a very flexible tool and can offer our customers an improved quality part and help us to reduce lead times on sheet metal projects.
