The Annex is a Grade II listed building that was formerly the old Sewerby-cum-Marton and Later Flamborough railway station waiting room. It has been beautifully converted to offer spacious GROUND FLOOR accommodation. The property is situated in the countryside but is only a 5 min drive from the hustle and bustle of Bridlington.To access the Annex, guest can park in their own designated space and walk through a delightful communial garden that is surrounded but small holiday cottages which are all designed to reflect the period of Victorian Steam. Once through the wrought iron gates you are in the private ground of the Annex. The patio/seating area is in fact the old station platform and from here guests can sit and watch the level crossing close and wave to the small 2 carriage rural line train that passes approx hourly from around 7.30am-8pm. ( in no way does the train spoil your stay ) but trains no longer stop here.The property itself offers accommodation of a very high standard. All linen and towels are provided and fuel is included. Heating is by gas central heating with the addition of an electric fire in the lounge. There is ample soft seating and a colour tv with Freeview. In the utility room there is a washer/dryer and the spacious kitchen has a full size cooker, fridge & freezer and dining area. The 2 bedrooms are inviting and have double beds. The bathroom is designer and for 2009 one of the bedrooms will also have an enormous en-suite with bath and seperate walk in shower.The Annex is ideal as a touring base for visiting the delights of Yorkshire but is also an amazing place to just relax and unwind. Within 50 yards of the property you can find a country pub serving real ale and good food and if you cant live without sports, they do have Sky tv.We do not reccommend the Annex for anyone under the age of 12 or any person with mobility problems. There are a number of steps around the complex and the property itself can not cater for wheelchairs.
