Business profile
Our aim is to rear rare breed pigs the traditional way, where they enjoy rooting around and wallowing in mud for most of the year We live on a 20 acre small holding in the far north of Scotland, enjoying views over the Pentland Firth to Stroma and the Orkney Islands Farrowing takes place in our specially built farrowing pens where the piglets have crush bars on the wall to keep them safe and a heat lamp for the first few weeks On our small holding we enjoy the benefits of having our own butchery and prep room, helping to reduce food miles whereever possible Charlie, our first boar, is 5 years old and a gentle giant
