Here the forests are part coniferous and part deciduous. Oak is plentiful but represents only a small fraction of the total forest. The summers are short and warm, but the winters are long and hard. This makes the oak very like English Oak, with a tight grain and beautiful characteristics. The logs are kiln dried and milled into floorboards before being transported to our warehouse in Hertford.
