TaylorMade Japan 2012 Gloire Forged Driver with Inverted Cone Technology
This Driver is a Japan only model that TM Japan claims to be the "Ultimate Driver". The Gloire features a premium forged head for maximum feel and playability. It features all of the topline TM technology, forged into one masterpiece. The head is a totally redesigned as you can tell by the bottom of the club. It features an aero dynamic designed to minimize friction during the downswing. The rounded and well balanced head shape gives added confidence and helps with proper alignment. The Gloire also features a thinner and lighter crown on the head allowing the overall weight to be dropped to create maximum swingspeed. This was done by using carving honeycomb shapes very precisely on the inner part of the crown. The process takes alot of steady work because the crown has to be shaved 0.5mm at a time to prevent the already thing crown from breaking.
