Getting music into the community... and the community into music. At the Magna Music Band we want to use music to bring people together. The Band was formed in September 2012. Since then it has flourished into a thriving friendly community band. We love playing, we want to get better and we want to be part of the community. Our organisation therefore focuses on being creative in our approaches to playing, developing potential within the band through mentoring and support systems and reaching out to the community in many ways. You may find us at summer fetes or church services, but equally performing avant garde works at art centre and collaborating with other music/art groups. The Magna Music Band is a project which aims to take the best of banding and add a bit of 21st century magic as well. Get involved .... as a player - come down to rehearsals, as a partner - contact us for possible projects, as a supporter - hire the band to play or indulge yourself in the band shop
