Lots of people do their own research due to the vast amount of information on-line. Scotland's People website is accurate but please double check your findings on other websites as they can be wrong! We at Scottish Ancestor would like to help you "put the meat on the bones"! We will visit archives and libraries to give you more insight as to how your ancestors lived. We do not want to waste your money by finding out anything you know already, so to help us please provide details of what you already know of your family. We can research as much or as little as you require. There is a huge amount of material in archives and libraries, including newspapers, which is not available on-line. Let us have your ancestors names and areas where they lived and we will research them for you. Cost if £20 per hour. Copies of certificates etc at cost price at 50 p. We will agree a budget before starting and not exceed that without consultation so that the client is always in control of the budget.
