Rednile originally grew out the artists/founders' need for studio space to continue their art practice after graduation and from a realisation that by instigating their own projects they could continue their practice and work with other artists in the process Rednile’s approach to art in the public realm has developed over time and their portfolio now includes the delivery of large scale public art projects that involve creative consultation and feed into public design and regeneration strategies Rednile’s initial projects involved artists residencies and events open to the public and set in disused spaces in regeneration areas Rednile has contracted and paid over 80 creative individuals in various roles and provided work placements, mentorships and opportunities to writers, photographers, designers and students Rednile is seeking to collaborate and enrich its methodology with exchanges and projects that feedback into the creative dynamics of rednile projects
