myString v2.1.0 Released
Customers have told us that for some products mass isn't important, and that the KG equivalence functionality was getting in the way. For example, if you make t-shirts, it doesn't matter how much each one weighs, you just need to know how many of them there are. Because of this we have changed the way in which product categories work so that the user can choose exactly which information is required. If you need to know the weight of each batch, then you can choose to do this. If not, you can choose just to record the information you need. To make this easy, we have introduced a new "Create product category wizard". Customers will notice that if you create a new product category they will be guided through a new step-by-step wizard that will ask a few questions so that myString can work out how the new category should work. In addition to the above changes we have also made numerous other customer suggested improvements to the system to make it even easier and simpler to use. Companies using myString can now choose to display their company name on the login page to show that they are producing traceable product. Already a large number of companies have chosen to do this as it helps convey the message that they are able to provide traceable products to their customers.
