The Scottish Training Federation was originally formed in 1990 to represent providers of 'National Training Programmes' operating throughout the Scottish Enterprise and Highland & Island Enterprise regions. In 2004 the association re-established itself as a company limited by guarantee - STF Limited. Acting as the collective voice of its members, STF has become recognised by the Scottish Government, and other key stakeholders in the work based learning industry, as the main representative body of learning providers in Scotland.
