"Further to attending SoVA training with Stephen Hopely (Ashtree trainer) on Tuesday 13th Sept, I would like to give some positive feedback. The ice breaker 'Who wants to be a Millionaire' style question and answer session was really good fun and really refreshed our knowledge of safeguarding and also tested our understanding. Also Stephen's experience of working in Care, gave a feeling of empathy to the group and also helped us with understanding safeguarding in the Care environment. The case studies were relevant, and he was very imformative about how to report suspicion of abuse, it really made you think about all the different perspectives. There were a few changes I would recommend eg; less powerpoint, but on the whole it was a brilliant session that fitted into 3 hours.
