A little bit about Titan Furniture Our first task was to design and engineer a one piece Polypropylene Classroom chair that complied with a new standard – EN 1729 Parts 1 and 2 However, it is Part 1 which presented the most significant challenge, because this introduced new support contact points, sizes, rake angles and radii for the chairs, all of which combine to ensure perfect posture for our children In June 2007 the first chairs left the factory and large numbers of them have now found homes in our schools and provide our children with the comfort and posture needed to ensure attention in class and good health in the future After many months of design and development we finally reached the stage where we had a product that fully complied with the new EN 1729 Parts 1 & 2 standard
