Twist Table in oak
This table is an exercise in creating useful three dimensional space by intersecting four planes in a seamless join. The result is a table which is unsupported in the corners but stable and decorative. It took a bit of mind bending to work out how to join the four panels into a seamless joint, with a refresh of my high school trig skills and a scientific calculator. How many of us really remember how to work out the cosine of an angle based on the length of two sides. I am so glad I paid attention in Maths class. The table is made of oak veneered panel with solid oak top and base with a hardened glass centre. The centre inverted pyramid of the table could be used to display objects of art. I can make you a twist table to your dimensions and in your choice of wood species. Please give me a call to work out the details and cost.
