Established in 2004 by two former teachers, WoZu Limited is a privately owned company which supplies educational toys, games, puzzles and puppets to local authorities, schools, nurseries, childminders, playgroups and the general public via a website, a mail order catalogue and a retail outlet. WoZu Limited is based at Blakemere Craft Centre, Sandiway, Cheshire and owned and run by Steve Egersdorff and Ian Walton, who have each been involved in education for over 25 years. Both worked for Cheshire County Council, Ian as a primary Headteacher, Steve as a secondary Head of Science. Their extensive range of innovative products includes baby toys from Haba, Selecta Spielzeug, Tidlo, Melissa & Doug and Manhattan Toy, traditional wooden toys from Pintoy, BigJigs, Le Toy Van, Orange Tree Toys, and House of Marbles, puppets from The Puppet Company and Living Puppets, plus a wide range of popular children's books and 'fiddle' toys such as Tangles. Other products include Uglydolls, Rubens Barn dolls and Beddy Bears, puzzles & games from Thinkfun, Smart Games, Paul Lamond, Greenboard Games, Orchard Toys and Popular Playthings, plus outdoor toys such as Mini /Maxi Microscooters, Wheelybugs, Kiddimoto balance bikes, and Scuttlebugs. The company also stocks a variety of tactile and 'fiddle' toys such as Tangles and other specialist resources for children and young adults with additional needs.
