Business profile
County Joinery can trace its history back to 1958 when it was based in a converted chapel near Rye. The current owners Roger and Jane Hodsoll bought the business in 1997 when it had 2 members of staff but fortunately, with over thirty years of joinery experience starting at apprentice level, Roger had the motivation and knowledge needed to drive the business forward. By 2006, County Joinery (South East) Ltd had outgrown two premises and now with a total of 24 members of staff, has settled in a purpose-made 11,000sqft factory in Battle, East Sussex. From its inception, County Joinery has taken pride in being accessible to private clients as well as large contractors and by undertaking commissions both big and small, work has been completed locally, nationally and internationally. They manufacture doors, windows, staircases, furniture and fittings to match existing architecture or to original modern designs.
