Fire Extinguisher Servicing – BS 5306 Compliant Support
We inspect and service fire extinguishers across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, including foam, CO₂, powder and water units. All work is BS 5306-3 compliant with full certification. We also supply extinguishers and brackets if replacements are needed.
Quantitative Face Fit Testing for RPE Compliance
We deliver on-site quantitative face fit testing using PortaCount equipment to ensure your RPE fits correctly and meets HSE INDG479. Ideal for FFP3, half masks and full-face respirators, with individual test reports provided. No guesswork, no paper masks – just clear, auditable results. Velocity Safety also supplies RPE and P3 filters for powered and negative pressure units, helping you stay compliant from supply through to use.
Gas Detection Unit Calibration & Repair
We calibrate and service portable gas detectors including Crowcon, MSA, Honeywell and Dräger. Fast turnaround, certified results and full traceability. Gas monitors, docking stations and calibration gas also supplied.
PFPE & Fall Arrest Equipment Inspections
We inspect, test and certify all types of personal fall protection equipment (PFPE), including harnesses, lanyards, inertia reels, anchor points and eyebolts. Services are carried out in line with BS8437 and WAHSA guidelines. We apply inspection tags, document findings and offer minor repairs where needed. We also supply Ridgegear and Abtech equipment on request
LEV Testing & Dust Extraction Compliance (COSHH Reg 9)
Dust extraction systems and LEV units must be tested under Regulation 9 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. Velocity Safety carries out Thorough Examinations and Tests (TExTs) on mobile, on-tool and fixed extraction setups. We check flow rates, alarms and filters — and we’ll even fit chevron meters to make airflow problems visible. Testing is followed by a clear report and compliance summary.
