Wrought Iron Curtain Pole with 'Thumper' finials
  This Wrought Iron Curtain Pole has been inspired by our 'tree planting pledge'. The tool that we use to thump in the roots has a very similar shape and it was while we were planting trees on a cold spring afternoon that the idea of a flattened ball or 'Thumper' came from.We came home, lit the forge and got warm! Then we set about forging 'The Thumper'.It is made with a solid 20mm round bar and has a flattened solid ball forged in to the end. Look at the detail of the finial and you will see the hammer marks left by the forging process.
