Haedong Kumdo is a Korean Sword Martial Art, very new to the United Kingdom..The 'Way of the Sword' involves the teaching of cutting drills, forms, draws and other sword skills, from basic sword techniques using a wodden sword to cut paper, through to highly advanced sword techniques using a 'live' blade to cut through straw mats and bamboo..Currently there are only a handful of instructors quaified to teach this exciting Martial Art which is available to both exising Martial Arts students looking for something extra to challenge them or to new students wanting to learn a new Martial Art that is quite spectacular to watch and challenging to practice..Haedong Kumdo lessons are held in the Cresset Centre Bretton on Tuesday evenings between 7.45 pm and 9.pm and follow on from Tang Soo Do classes..The instructor is:.Master Paul Giffen.3rd Dan Haedong Kumdo4th Dan Master Tang Soo Do
