Art Courses and Painting Holidays in 2012
Sue and Alan Barber and the Derbyshire Arts team offer you a warm welcome to a wide range of art courses and painting holidays in a variety of mediums and styles. We offer both residential and day attendance options tutored by the very best internationally-renowned artists. Pear Tree Farm studio is situated in a beautiful rural setting overlooking Lea Brook near Matlock in the Derbyshire Dales, England. Painting tuition is offered to all levels of ability from the complete beginner to the experienced artist and with over 30 courses available in 2012 we really believe there is something for everyone!   Art Studio Situated overlooking the picturesque Lea Brook, our purpose-built art studio is a welcoming space offering all the creature comforts, including; fridge, drinks tray and hot/cold water. The studio provides the ideal indoor venue for our art courses (unless out on location) and can be hired separately by art clubs or groups wishing to arrange their own special breaks.All our courses have been designed with our students in mind and aim to provide a relaxing, friendly learning environment. Course tuition runs from 9.30am-4:30pm each day, unless stated otherwise.  Residential optionResidential students can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay in our four-star en-suite accommodation. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require one of our two ground floor rooms. Our residential option provides full board including breakfast and evening meal as well as a packed or buffet lunch (depending on course requirements). Unless otherwise stated, residential students arrive on the afternoon prior to the start of the course, for evening meal.   Day Attendance optionDay attendance students arrive daily for a 9:30am start. Our day attendees enjoy a packed or buffet lunch (depending on course requirements) which allows all students time to socialise together.   Hot drinks are available all day and we have a limited number of easels and boards as well as a small shop for those last minute art materials needs!
