Pontrhydyrun Baptist Church was founded in 1815 We are also actively involved with churches locally through the Eastern Valley Christian Workshops, the newly formed Torfaen Gospel Partnership, and the Evangelical Movement of Wales Since the formation of the Churches Together movement in 1991, with its avowed aim to pursue ecumenism at the local level, we are constantly being urged to join other churches in united services, prayer meetings, marches and evangelistic activities This means we believe the Bible and try to base our life and teaching on what it says and we seek to live out our faith in worship, service and outreach in a way which is relevant to the 21st Century As a result of the fall of our first parents, every aspect of human nature has been corrupted and all men and women are without spiritual life, guilty sinners and hostile to God
