Desk-top assessment
Desk-top assessment aims to determine the likelihood that any remains of archaeological significance exist within a given area, or assess the historical or archaeological significance of remains already known to be there. Evidence will be collated from a wide range of sources, including historic maps, local history, aerial photography, excavation reports, site visits and the local Heritage Environment Record (HER).
