Record Breaking Woodland Grange Scoops Award
The awards, now in their fourth year, are organised by CVOne, the body responsible for promoting business and tourism across the region. Woodland Grange took the gold award for 'Best Conference Venue', with the silver taken by Warwick Conferences and the bronze by Woodside, in Kenilworth. The awards are judged by an independent panel advised by industry experts. The award represents a particularly significant achievement for the venue, as it reflects a year requiring extensive development of its processes and services as a result of a £5 million new facility investment which came on stream in mid 2006. " Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of all is that the award shows we have sustained, and indeed enhanced , our levels of customer service over a unique and very demanding period," commented Woodland Grange's Director of Operations David Vaughton: " In terms of recognition, there are now more internationally competitive conference providers in the region then ever, and to have come out top is probably one of our greatest achievements." The venue will achieve record levels of conference business this year, and is likely to show a year on year increase in revenue of more than 50 per cent. Woodland Grange is one of only 33 members of the UK chapter of the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC). It is also one of only 35 members of the exclusive group of conference providers, Conference Centres of Excellence. It has 13 main meeting rooms and 13 syndicate rooms, all very highly specified with leading edge equipment and facilities, together with 114 bedrooms. The recent development includes an internet café bar and a comprehensively equipped leisure centre.
