We are Robert and Kelly Alexander. We met just over 6 years ago, online, and are one of the success stories. We have been married for 4 years and have one daughter together. Robert is from Seattle, Washington, and has experience in BBQ catering and the running of restaurants, having owned one before he began his life in the UK. Initially, we were looking at possibly running a restaurant together, but it was a chance encounter with our neighbour that led us to open 'Alexander's Blinds'. Our neighbours, John and Donna, had been manufacturing and selling blinds for over 25 years and had decided they only wanted to manufacture and therefore needed someone to sell them. Why not take a look? After extensive training and getting to understand the ways in which different blinds fit and work, we began our search for the ideal premises in which to display the blinds we sold. We looked in various locations, but as soon as we came to St.Ives, we felt we had 'come home'. We both love the town whole-heartedly and the support we have had from the local community has been wonderful. After a year of selling blinds, we joined forces with 'Jo Hunter Curtains' of St.Ives, to offer our customers curtains, cushions and wallpapers, alongside our selection of blinds.
