Business profile
Chestnuts is situated in the quiet village of Low Moresby, two and a half miles north of the historic port of Whitehaven. With the town just 10 minutes in one direction, and the edge of the Lake District National Park 20 minutes in the other, we are situated in an ideal position for anybody wishing to experience all that the area offers. The house itself is a family home beside farmland, with excellent views over the countryside and the Solway Firth to Scotland. We are five minutes walk by footpath to the local pub/restaurant or five minutes by car. We can also provide accommodation for your small pets, should you wish to travel with them. An outbuilding has been specially built for this purpose. This is known as Norah's Ark. For wildlife and photography enthusiasts, Chestnuts is home to four varieties of owls, which are housed in aviaries in the large garden. We are owl enthusiasts and are happy to show you around and tell you about the various birds. The garden bird feeders and wildlife friendly planting also attract a wide variety of wild birds and we are sometimes visited by wild owls, buzzards or pheasants.
