Free boilers are available for pensioners & people on benefits via the UK government ECO boiler scheme. You may qualify for a free boiler if you claim certain benefits or are on a low income. Your boiler must be old or unable to heat your property efficiently to make fitting a free boiler worthwhile. You must also be a homeowner, private tenant or landlord. Your existing gas boiler must also be more than 5 years old, and have low energy efficiency rating. Free boiler grants are non-repayable so you don't have to pay any money back if you qualify.
