We opened the Flying Corkscrew shop in 2002 and in the International Wine Challenge awards we were voted Independent Wine Merchant of the Year 2003,and Regional Wine Merchant of the Year, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 The Flying Corkscrew is an award winning wine company known for its focus on properly made wines that are authenic, typical of their area of origin and good value We were established in 1995 as Great Gaddesden Wines and sell wine to a wide range of restaurants A lot of our wines are made by smaller producers, some are organic, some use traditional winemaking methods but the real criteria are quality and value for money
